The hotel was gorgeous and fairly clean. The views of Austin hills were wonderful. All staff members were excellent and super friendly. The room was well-appointed and huge. It had a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a refrigerator, and coffee and tea making equipment. The savory breakfast was appreciated, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The location was stunning and in a truly beautiful area.

Noisy. Old. Too many feather pillows bed things. Too many resort fees and taxes added upon check out. $100.00 plus
Too many property fees and additional taxes. My car was valet parked under a tree. Needles to say. Birds were in the tree.

The location is stunning, close to the golf course, areas receiving direct sun rays and Austin's nightlife and music. Again, it's 4 miles from Village at Westlake.

Location
Disappointing. It was billed as a top notch hotel, but did not come up to scratch. Too corporate, service was mediocre and overrated. Too pricey. The swimming pool was dirty - not what we expected! Avoid, unless management ups it's game. not rocket science and would not take much to improve.

I found the staff so so, not overly friendly. I stayed for lunch one day with my 3 kids. Having chosen no starter, one glass of wine and 2 kids menus at 8 dollars. THe bill was nearly $90!! They also imposed a $15 service charge!! excessive

The room here is both spacious and quiet, with a super comfortable bed and smoke detectors for safety, and they have a fantastic pool and convenient onsite parking too.

The hotel reminded me of the Greenbriar in West Virginia. I did not use the spa.
We are having a wedding near by in Sept/2012 and were checking our the hotel for our guests to stay. The Barton Creek hotel staff was apparently not interested in a block of rooms (50) at a discount rate. I tried at least 5-6 times to talk with someone, their customer service in this area was horrible.

The proximity of the resort to my home of San Antonio was incredible. Almost right in my backyard. I felt like I was away...but it only took a few minutes to get home. I loved the old feel of the building. I loved the staff. Everyone was very, very nice, professional and made me feel welcomed.
The hotel in its nostalgia was not as well kept as the amount of money I paid. Carpets in the hallway appeared dirty in some areas and worn. The water pressure in my room was horrible. There were two lamps that did not work and at least two plugs that did not work.

The location is absolutely breathtaking! You're close to cool artwork, nightlife, live music, and a gym to stay active. Plus, you're just a hop away from exploring the sights around 😊.

It was very nice. I would have liked a room with a better view. Since this was our first visit I didnt know to ask for a good view. Another thing was an itinerary. We stayed at other resorts in Texas, we received a weekend list of activities to do at check in there at the resort- just a suggestion. Overall though we enjoyed ourselves very much!
